Based on the finding that the physician assistant failed to comply with the terms of a 7/12/23 Board Order when she failed to submit to random toxicology screenings between October 2023 and February 2024, those acts and/or omissions, individually and/or collectively constitute: violation of the conditions placed by the board on a license to practice as a physician assistant. <br/> <br/>04/10/2024 - CITATION - Based on allegations the physician assistant failed to comply with the terms of a 7/12/23 Board Order when she failed to submit to random toxicology screenings between October 2023 and February 2024, those acts and/or omissions, individually and/or collectively constitute: violation of the conditions placed by the board on a license to practice as a physician assistant. Notice of Opportunity for Hearing effective 4/11/24. <br/> <br/>07/12/2023 -CONSENT AGREEMENT - Summary Suspension terminated, and license immediately suspended for an indefinite period of time, and subject to general probationary requirements, and conditions for reinstatement. Based on the physician assistant’s admission that their failure to submit to an examination ordered by the Board was not due to circumstances beyond their control, that failure constitutes an admission that they are unable to practice according to acceptable and prevailing standards of care by reason of their mental illness or physical illness, or the habitual or excessive use or abuse of drugs, alcohol, or other substances that impair ability to practice. Agreement effective 7/12/23. <br/> <br/>05/10/2023 CITATION - Physician assistant notified of right to request a hearing on the question of whether their failure to submit to an examination as ordered by the Board was due to circumstances beyond their control. Based on the legal presumption that the physician assistant’s failure to submit to an examination as ordered by the Board constitutes an admission that they are unable to practice according to acceptable and prevailing standards of care by reason of their mental illness or physical illness, or the habitual or excessive use or abuse of drugs, alcohol, or other substances that impair ability to practice. Opportunity for Hearing on Failure to Submit to an Examination and Notice of Summary Suspension Based on Presumption of an Admission of Inability to Practice and/or Impairment mailed 5/11/23. <br/> <br/>05/10/2023 -PRE-HEARING SUSPENSION - Pursuant to Section 4730.25(G), Ohio Revised Code, license to practice as a physician assistant summarily suspended based on Board’s determination that there is clear and convincing evidence that the physician assistant is in violation of Sections 4730.25(B)(4), and 4730.25(B)(5) Ohio Revised Code, and that their continued practice presents a danger of immediate and serious harm to the public. Order effective 5/10/23.
