On January 24, 2024, based on allegations that Akron Pharmacy dba Mac Pharmacy failed to maintain minimum standards of the pharmacy, was not following compounding guidelines, and allowed non-licensed individuals to perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Board) issued a Notice of Opportunity for Hearing. On November 8, 2024, Akron Pharmacy dba Mac Pharmacy entered into a Settlement Agreement with the Board in which they agreed to a monetary penalty in the amount of $1000. <br/> <br/>On February 23, 2022, based on allegations that Akron Pharmacy allowed a pharmacy employee to perform pharmacy technician duties without obtaining proper registration with the Board, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Board) issued a Notice of Opportunity for Hearing. On September 18, 2024, the Board issued an order imposing a monetary penalty in the amount of $250.00.
