On June 30, 2025, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Board) issued a Notice of Opportunity for Hearing to Brown’s Drug based on allegations that they failed to maintain minimum standards of the pharmacy, failed to maintain drug security, refilled controlled prescriptions early and failed to run OARRS reports. On April 1, 2026, Brown’s Drug entered into a settlement agreement with the Board in which they agreed to a written reprimand, a monetary penalty in the amount of $20,000, a minimum two-year probationary period, and ten (1.0 CEU) continuing education hours for the new responsible person.
