Board Action Details Action: License suspension, indefinite term. Dr. Shuman waived his right to seek restoration of,the license for a minimum of four (4) months and pending the outcome of a multidisciplinary evaluation to be conducted by the Program for Professionals at Levine, Risen & Associates, Beachwood, Ohio, at Dr. Shuman’s cost. Dr. Shuman agrees to follow any treatment recommendations forwarded by the Program for Professionals. The Board agrees to use the outcome of the evaluation to inform its decision-making relative to handling any request for restoration received from Dr. Shuman when he becomes eligible on April 5, 2015. Dr. Shuman acknowledged that, should he request restoration of his license at any time on or after April 5, 2015, he bears the responsibility for emonstrating to the Board that circumstances warrant his return to active licensure, including compliance with any recommendations made by the Program for Professionals and compliance with any court ordered treatment and/or probation requirements. Dr.Shuman understands that any future restoration of the license might be accompanied by conditions to be determined by the Board, which may include but shall not necessarily be limited to: practice restrictions, psychotherapy, and re-evaluations for a termtobe determined by the Board.,,Reason: Violation of ORC 4732.17 (A) (1) Conviction, including a plea of guilty or no contest, of a felony, or of any offense involving moral turpitude, in a court of this or any other state or in a federal court; and, tosettle all matters contained in a Notice of Opportunity for Hearing issued on May 1, 2014.,Effective: December 5, 2014.
