Board Action Details 07/12/2023 - BOARD ORDER -License to practice medicine and surgery permanently revoked, and subject to payment of a four thousand five hundred dollar ($4,500.00) fine. Based on the finding that the doctor violated minimal standards of care in the treatment of three identified patients when she videorecorded patients during liposuction surgeries in an office setting that was not licensed as an ambulatory surgical facility, those actions and/or omissions, individually and/or collectively constitute: departure from, or the failure to conform to, minimal standards of care of similar practitioners under the same or similar circumstances, whether or not actual injury to a patient is established; and violating or attempting to violate, directly or indirectly, or assisting in the or abetting the violation of, or conspiring to violate, any provisions of this chapter or any rule promulgated by the board, to wit: Office-Based Surgery General Provisions, and Liposuction in the Office Setting. Order effective 7/13/23.

11/18/2022 - CITATION -Based on allegations that when: the Board issued two prior caution letters asking the doctor to complete remedial education courses, and cautioning the doctor to maintain patient privacy when sharing photos and video via social media, along with articulating multi-faceted issues with patient care including lack of informed consent, ethical concerns of privacy and social media, and avoidable complications requiring surgical intervention; and with respect to the care and treatment of three identified patients the doctor inappropriately treated and/or failed to appropriately treat and/or failed to appropriately document treatment, those acts and/or omissions, as alleged, individually and/or collectively constitute: a departure from, or the failure to conform to, minimal standards of care of similar practitioners under the same or similar circumstances, whether or not actual injury to a patient is established; and violating or attempting to violate, directly or indirectly, or assisting in or abetting the violation of, or conspiring to violate, any provisions of this chapter or any rule promulgated by the board, to wit: Office-Based Surgery – General Provisions, and Liposuction in Office Setting. 11/18/2022 PRE HEARING SUSPENSION - Pursuant to Section 4731.22(G), license to practice allopathic medicine and surgery is summarily suspended based on Board’s determination that there is clear and convincing evidence that doctor is in violation of Sections 4731.22(B)(6) and 4731.22(B)(20) Ohio Revised Code, and that their continued practice presents a danger of immediate and serious harm to the public. Order effective 11/18/22.
